Medical and dental history
At Spring Valley Dental Care - Implant Center in Maywood, NJ, your initial evaluation will include advanced 3D radiographic imaging using one of the most advanced CBCTs available. Dr. Mady, a board certified periodontist, will then conduct a thorough periodontal examination to determine if you are a suitable candidate for dental implants. Following this, we will discuss your treatment goals, present all available clinical options, and provide a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each option. If you are ready to proceed, a small deposit can be made to secure a records appointment and procedure date. However, there is no pressure to make a decision immediately. RECORDS

Creating Your Perfect Smile
During your records appointment, we will assist you in planning your case, going through and signing all consent forms, discussing the medications you will be prescribed, and conducting digital scans of your current dentition. Together, we will strategize the design of your new smile, considering the shape, style, and shade of your new teeth. Once payment is settled, we will send your records to our lab to initiate preparations.

PROCEDURE

Getting your New Dental Implants Installed
Once you arrive for the Spring Valley Dental Care - Implant Center procedure, you will receive sedation and numbing to ensure your comfort. Dr. Mady will remove any remaining teeth if necessary, place your dental implants, and start the digital restorative phase. Afterward, an x-ray will be taken to accurately document the placement of your implants. Typically, this entire process takes approximately 3 hours. Before you leave, you will be provided with detailed written aftercare instructions that explain what to expect and how to handle postoperative matters.

TRY-IN

Trying out your brand new smile
On the very next day, you will come back for a postoperative checkup. We will carefully examine all the areas where the implants were placed and the stitches to ensure that the healing process is going well. To make sure that you are completely satisfied with the appearance, sensation, and functionality of your new smile, we will provide you with a 3D printed replica of your custom-designed teeth. These teeth will be securely attached and cannot be removed by the patient. If any adjustments are needed, we will make them and take another set of digital scans with your new teeth in place. If you desire any aesthetic changes, we will forward your requests to our expert designers and deliver a trial version with the modifications the following day. If you are happy with everything as it is, we will proceed with replicating the design using high-quality zirconia. This entire visit usually lasts less than an hour.

Zirconia Delivery

Introducing your brand new everlasting smile.
After your design is approved, we will replace your printed try-ins with meticulously crafted permanent zirconia teeth within 3-4 days. Dr. Mady will conduct a final checkup to ensure optimal healing and address any concerns you may have. This will also mark the beginning of your 5-year hassle-free Spring Valley Dental Care - Implant Center warranty, which covers both implants and your new zirconia teeth. Additionally, you will be provided with a custom-made night guard and comprehensive written instructions on how to care for your new teeth during the next 90 days. As part of the healing process, patients are advised to follow a soft diet for 90 days, and you will receive detailed written dietary recommendations and limitations. This visit typically lasts less than an hour.

90-DAY FOLLOW UP

Confirmation of successful implant integration
After a 90-day period of healing, you will come back for a regular check-up to ensure that everything is in perfect condition. Another x-ray will be conducted to confirm that your implants have fully fused with your jawbone. This usually marks the end of the soft food diet, and most patients can resume their normal eating habits. The Spring Valley Dental Care - Implant Center procedure is now finished, and you have the freedom to shape your own future!

1-Year Evaluation and Annual Recare

Routine Cleaning and Maintenance

After one year of receiving your zirconia teeth, we recommend that patients come back for a hygiene evaluation. Dr. Noorthoek will assess your oral health during this evaluation and suggest a personalized recare schedule that suits your needs. To maintain the Done In One warranty, it is necessary to remove fixed bridge(s) for routine maintenance and professional cleaning at least once a year. However, if your home care is insufficient, we may advise you to visit more frequently. Each recare appointment costs $200 per arch per visit and includes the following services:

  • CBCT imaging to check for bone loss and evaluate implant stability (every 12 months)
  • Removal and cleaning/polishing of Done In One bridges using an Ultrasonic
  • Hygienic examination and cleaning of implant sites
  • Tightening of multi-unit abutments
  • Replacement of prosthetic screws (after every 3 removals) and ensuring proper torque
  • Replacement of aesthetic access hole coverings
  • Discussion of patient status and recommendations
STEP 7

STEP 1

Complimentary Evaluation

Medical and Dental history
Your initial, complimentary evaluation at Done In One Palm Beach will include 3D radiographic imaging with one of the most advanced CBCTs on the market. After obtaining your medical and dental history, Dr. Noorthoek, a board certified periodontist, will perform a concise periodontal examination to ensure your candidacy for dental implants. Afterwards, we’ll discuss your treatment goals, present all of your clinical options, and go over the pros and cons of each. If you’re ready to move forward, a small deposit can be collected to secure a records appointment and procedure date. No pressure though – we understand that this is a big decision and we encourage you to think it over and contact us with any questions or if you’d like to proceed.
STEP 2

RECORDS

Designing Your New Smile
Your records appointment will consist of planning your case, reviewing and signing all consent forms, reviewing all medications you’ll be prescribed, and digital scans of your current dentition. Together we will plan the design of your new smile, including the shape, style, and shade of your new teeth. Payment is finalized and records are sent to our lab to begin preparations.
STEP 3

PROCEDURE

Placing Your New Dental Implants
Once you’ve arrived for the Done In One procedure, you will be sedated and comfortably numbed. Dr. Noorthoek will remove all remaining dentition (if needed), place your dental implants, and begin the digital restorative phase. Afterwards, an x-ray is taken to record the precise placement of your implants. This entire process usually takes around 3 hours from start to finish. Before being discharged, you will be given thoroughly written aftercare instructions detailing exactly what to expect and how to navigate all things postoperative.
STEP 4

TRY-IN

Testing Out Your New Smile
The very next day, you will return for a postoperative checkup. We will examine all the implant sites and sutures to reconfirm that everything is healing nicely. In order to ensure that you are 100% happy with the look, feel, and function of your new smile, we will deliver a 3D printed replica of your new custom-designed teeth – not a converted denture. These teeth will be screwed in and are not removable by the patient. We will make any adjustments necessary and perform another set of digital scans with your new teeth in place. If you would like any aesthetic changes, we will send those requests to our master designers and deliver your redesigned try-in the following day. If you love everything just the way it is, we will begin the process of replicating the design in stunning zirconia. This entire visit typically takes less than an hour.
STEP 5

ZIRCONIA DELIVERY

Presenting Your New Forever Smile
After 3-4 days from your approval of the design, we will replace your printed try-ins with your meticulously crafted permanent zirconia teeth. Dr. Noorthoek will perform one final checkup to make sure your healing is optimal and address any concerns you have. This delivery of your final zirconia restoration will initiate your 5-year hassle-free Done In One warranty, which covers both implants and your new zirconia teeth. You will receive a custom-made night guard and be given thoroughly detailed written instructions on how to care for your new teeth over the next 90 days. Patients are prescribed a 90-day soft diet while you heal and you will also receive thoroughly detailed written dietary recommendations and limitations. This visit typically takes less than an hour.
STEP 6

90-DAY FOLLOW UP

Confirming Implant Integration
After a 90-day healing phase, you will return for a routine follow-up where we will reconfirm that everything is perfect. Another x-ray will be taken to verify that your implants have fully integrated. This will typically conclude the need for a soft food diet and most patients are free to return to eating normally. The Done In One process is complete and the future is yours to define!
STEP 7

1-YEAR EVALUATION & ANNUAL RECARE

Routine Cleaning & Maintenance

One year from the delivery of your zirconia teeth, patients are encouraged to return for a hygiene evaluation. Based on this evaluation, Dr. Noorthoek will recommend an individualized recare schedule appropriate for each patient. Fixed bridge(s) must be removed for routine maintenance and professional cleaning at least once each year to maintain the Done In One warranty, though patients may be encouraged to return more frequently if home care is found to be inadequate. Recare appointments are $200 per arch per visit and include the following:

  • CBCT imaging to check for any bone loss and evaluate implant stability (every 12 months)
  • Removal and cleaning/polishing of Done In One bridges in an Ultrasonic
  • Hygienic examination and cleaning of implant sites
  • Tightening of multi-unit abutments
  • Replacement of prosthetic screws (after every 3 removals) and proper torque
  • Replacement of aesthetic access hole coverings
  • Patient status discussion and recommendations
Out-of-town patients or those in need can combine certain visits. Additional visits may be necessary for try-ins. The estimated length of appointment times can vary depending on the case.
